Why Do People Move from One Place to Another?

Courier Service Philippines

Moving from one place to another has always been in the DNA of the Filipino. In our modern times, it has been a highly considerable option to move to a place where life demands will be met conveniently. For example, it has always been seen by those who live in the provinces that jobs and career opportunity can be easily found in the metro so they move closer to it.

But actually, moving from a place to another is not that easy as there are things that you need to consider before doing so. The pros and cons of the action may make your life harder or easier depending on your lifestyle. Courier services in the Philippines has benefited greatly for this kind of setup as they have become a ready and instant solution to bridge the scarcity of demand.

Even the first Filipinos are brought to the shore of the Philippines because of migration or moving from one place to another. In the Theory of Migration, many historians have stated that the very first migrants who came to the archipelago over 250,000 years ago are the Dawnmen. The Dawnmen came here by their instincts to hunt food and then disappeared for unknown reason. The succeeding waves however, the Aetas, Indonesians, and Malays are brought to our shore in their quest to survive which has later on led to establishing some of the early community system, mailing and courier service system, justice system, and trade system.

But what are the other reasons why people move from one place to another?

1. Cost of Living and Finances

Consumer prices in Philippines rose 2.3 percent year-on-year in October 2016, the same pace as in September while market expected a 2.4 percent rise. This can be a real deal breaker as the peso inflation can be an instrument to determine the economic health of the country in comparison to other countries. Some people find themselves in poverty of facing serious economic hardships in their own country and immigrating will offer them a solution. In most cases, those who are in a developing country would chose to move in to a country that is already developed.

2. Availability of Health Services

The health system in the country has taken a blow in the recent national budget allocation to give way to the infrastructural projects. As there are still areas where in health services is not distributed (mostly in secluded areas), this has caused people to move closer to areas where a certain health service can be attained. In extreme and rare cases, there are those who even leave the country to seek health from experts in the health field.

3. Weather

People either want to escape the weather of their own country or move to a place where the weather suits their lifestyle and tastes better. In the most extreme examples, people want to get away from extreme weather conditions like regular earth quakes, cyclones, tornadoes or even active volcanoes. While the Philippines has only two seasons, the tropical storms and flood that it comes with can force a family to move out from one location to another.

These are only some of the considerable factors that can cause people to move from one place to another. It is important to understand that migration isn’t entirely a bad thing. This is just a reflection of the humanity fighting for our survival.
